Experience becoming a ninja for a day and enjoy a full day of exploring in Nikko. Take a peek at the culture and life during the influential Edo era, and visit gorgeous Toshogu Shrine. This one-day tour of Nikko provides visitors a comprehensive look into life during Edo era Japan. Visitors start with a trip to the ancient Toshogu Shrine, a World Heritage Site known for its elaborate architecture and the famous Three Wise Monkeys carving. Spend the afternoon at an interactive theme park, Edo Wonderland, where visitors are transported back in time. Guests can experience life in ancient Edo, honing their skills in throwing ninja stars and samurai archery or even dressing up in the traditional clothing of the era. The ninja show at Edo Wonderland is not to be missed!

Cancellation Policy

  • Any cancellations made between 8 business days (18:00 local time) to 2 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 2 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 40% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made between 1 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 hours prior to the activity start time will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
  • Any cancellations made after 1 hours prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

Check In/Pickup Location Details

  • Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo Check-in Counter:
    5 minutes on foot from Shinjuku Station West Exit (JR Lines, Subway), or 1 minute on foot from Tochomae Station B1 Exit (Toei Oedo Line).
    Hamamatsucho Bus Terminal:
    1-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station (JR Line or Tokyo Monorail).
    1-minute walk from Daimon Station (Toei Asakusa Line or Toei Oedo Line).
    The tour meeting location is inside the World Trade Center Annex on the 1st floor (Bus Terminal). Take the stairs down from the 2nd floor concourse.
    Please check-in at least 10 minutes prior to your departure time. The bus will depart on time.
    *Customers who are late for the departure time will have their bookings cancelled. Please leave plenty of time to reach the meeting location.

Restrictions

  • Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions. Tour: An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating. If you would like a seat for a child (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.

Additional Notes

  • An audio guide will be provided for each participant at Nikko Toshogu Shrine. However, less than 15 participants on the tour, audio guides may not be used. If audio guides are lost or damaged, a fee of JPY 10,000 may be required.
  • Depending on road and traffic conditions, sightseeing at Nikko Toshogu Shrine may be shortened.
  • A national government licensed guide will accompany you from Keio Plaza Hotel Tokyo through the visit to Nikko Toshogu Shrine. You will be responsible for moving on your own own after sightseeing at Nikko Toshogu Shrine.
  • Participants will ride Nikko Edo Wonderland's free shuttle bus from the Toshogu-shita bus stop boarding point to Nikko Edo Wonderland. The bus departure times for Nikko Edo Wonderland are 13:15 and 14:45. The time spent at Nikko Edomura may be shorter depending on the bus taken.
  • Lunch is not included.
  • The activity schedule is subject to change or cancellation due to weather or traffic conditions.
  • English assistance will not be available at Edo Wonderland.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine
Marvel at the ornate architecture of the mausoleum of the first Tokugawa Shogun, Ieyasu Tokugawa. The complex features many colorful structures, including the Yomei Gate, the Main Hall, and the famous Three Wise Monkeys of Toshogu Shrine.

After visiting Toshogu Shrine, make your way to catch a shuttle to Edo Wonderland. Bus ride takes about 40 minutes.

Edo Wonderland Theme Park
Step back in time to the Edo Period. Among the park's many attractions, enjoy a ninja performance displaying a wide variety of combat techniques and the tools of their trade. Please note that English guidance will not be available at Edo Wonderland and all activities will be in Japanese.
